Executive Directors

Harold L. Senkbeil, Executive Director for Spiritual Care   

  Dr. Harold Senkbeil brings considerable pastoral presence and wisdom to this project, having served faithfully in the parish for more than 30 years.  His parish experience includes small town/rural, campus, suburban, central city and mission planting settings.  

Dr. Senkbeil served as Associate Professor in the Pastoral Ministry and Missions Department of Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana from 2002 - 2008.  He served as an elected member of the Commission on Theology and Church Relations of the LCMS (1998-2002). In 2010 he was elected to the Board of Regents of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.  He is the author of a number of books, including Dying to Live: the power of forgiveness (CPH, 1994).  In July, 2008, he accepted the call to serve DOXOLOGY, a Recognized Service Organzation of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, as Executive Director for Spiritual Care.

Dr. Senkbeil is a frequently invited guest speaker at LC-MS Districts’ pastoral conferences.  He is known as a pastor to pastors, providing colleagues with theological resources, enrichment, encouragement and personal pastoral care.

Beverly K. Yahnke, Executive Director for Christian Counseling

 
  Dr. Beverly Yahnke is uniquely equipped to serve this project’s needs.  Dr. Yahnke is a licensed clinical psychologist who has provided consultation to District Presidents, pastors, principals, teachers and congregations for over two decades.  She is known throughout the church as a compassionate counselor, articulate speaker, and engaging teacher.

Since 2010 Dr. Yahnke is Professor of Psychology at Concordia University, Wisconsin.  During her clinical practice she provided assessment, counsel and care for pastors, teachers, church workers and their families.

Dr. Yahnke is a frequently invited, high-energy speaker for clergy, educator and mental health conferences.  She is also the founder and Director of TH!NKSHOPS,  an organization accredited by the American Psychological Association to provide continuing graduate education opportunities for professionals.
